PWC Cartridge™ Technology - A Genuine Differentiator

At the core of every M&M well control valve is our patent-pending PWC Cartridge™ design. Unlike conventional valve construction, the PWC Cartridge is a pretested, drop-in assembly that improves reliability, speeds up field servicing, and eliminates the need for special tools during maintenance. The cartridge equalizes pressure across the ball, loading it against the downstream seal — this prevents pressure trapping across the ball and meaningfully reduces the torque required to open the valve. The result is a valve that performs more consistently over its service life and comes back to service faster after maintenance than competing designs.

M&M Well Control Valves are designed and tested for High Pressure / High Temperature (HPHT) service. Every M&M well control valve is manufactured using NACE MR0175/ISO 15156-qualified materials as standard, making them fully compliant for sour service environments where hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) is present. This applies across all three configurations — DSSV, FOSV, and IBOP — so operators don't need to source separate valve inventories for sour versus standard service. One valve handles both, reducing procurement complexity and ensuring the right tool is always available offshore or onshore.
